You must meet the following general requirements to be considered for employment:

Must be a U.S. Citizen. 
Must be at least 21 years of age. 
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have successfully completed the Basic Peace Officers Course (if applying for Police Officer).
Never had a military court martial that resulted in a dishonorable or bad conduct discharge.
Stable credit history and work history. 
Possess current Texas driver's license and proof of insurance. 
Pass all phases of testing and background check. 
No convictions of a Class A misdemeanor or above. 
No Class B convictions in the last 10 years. 
No More than 3 Class C misdemeanors in the last 5 years.
No convictions of family violence. 
No more than 1 motor vehicle accident in the last 3 years.
No or 'No Insurance' convictions or had a Driver License Suspensions in the last 5 years.



Recruiting Process

The information is provided to the applicant as an overview of the steps involved in the employment process. The applicant will be given a test date and must be there on time. The applicant must successfully complete each step involved in the process prior to moving on to the next. Failure to complete each step of the process will result in the termination of the application process. The termination of the application process may occur at any point during the application process. The successful applicant will have progressed through each step.
